The striped bandits leaped from the oak tree, scattered the chickadees, and scampered up to the "pest proof" red metal bird feeder.

Two chipmunks worked together. I think I heard the theme music to Mission Impossible as the pair worked their way into the heaping stash of irresistible sunflower seeds.

The next week an new feeder appeared in Mom's garden right on top of the deck railing. A perfect little house with a wide open door became the ideal covered dining room for a happy pair of chipmunks with an ever refilling supply of sunflower seeds.
