Circle in Purple
Bonnie loved purple. Cindy loves flowers. I love the miraculous beauty of the sphere. Three generations captured in one fleeting flower.
Cut from my garden on a glorious spring day, this purple iris was originally a lumpy, grayish bulb handed to me in brown paper bag by my mother. I set the bulbs in my garden, threw a little dirt over them and forgot about them until almost a year later when these velvety blossoms appeared.
